I have heard many great things about Bamboo House, and finally tonight, I had a chance to give them a try.

Mr. Yee Leung took time to introduce himself to us, and to give us a brief history of the restaurant. Opened in ’82, Bamboo House has been serving family style Cantonese and Mandarin style for over 25 years. In the early years, Mr. Leung drove back and forth to Escondido along the 395 before moving closer. Originally opened 7 days a week, Bamboo House is now closed on Mondays to give everyone a rest day.



We had the Cilantro Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Shrimp; both were excellent.

You can find Bamboo House near the corner of E Valley Parkway and Midway. You should at least try their take-out.
